Coca-Cola Park

Coca-Cola Park is the home of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Triple AAA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The new ballpark in Allentown, Pa., features three levels — clubhouse, concourse and suite — as well as picnic terraces, party decks, berm seating areas, outfield drink-rail areas, grill areas, and a kids’ area.  The stadium has a catering kitchen, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, lounge bar and numerous concession stands and other food service areas.  There are 7,000 fixed seats (general admission, reserve seating, box seating, view level balcony seating) with room for an additional 3,000 spectators on a grassy area beyond center field.  The entry level features an open concourse that surrounds the playing field.

In May 2009, Alvin H. Butz, Inc. received the Construction Management Association of America Mid-Atlantic Chapter’s Project of the Year Award.  The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of CMAA covers all of Pennsylvania east of Pittsburgh, Delaware, and Central and Southern New Jersey.  The CMAA annual awards program presents awards in six categories with one winner chosen from each category.  The selection of winners involves an extensive review process which analyzes how successfully a project was managed by the construction manager and the owner.  The CMAA judges the specific ways a project is an example of the successful application of construction management principals and standards.  It also judges how the specific needs of the project or owner were addressed by using construction management.
